THE CARGILLS

One of the best parts of returning customers is seeing how much the family has grown since the last photoshoot. Another great benefit is that everyone finds their comfort zone infront of the camera, which makes for nice and natural looking pictures.

"Jeff is so great with kids. He made our son feel so comfortable and at ease. He creates unique shots and has such a wonderful eye. The photos are wonderful!" -Dana

CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES!

This photoshoot might go down as one of my all time favourite shoots! Michelle researched what she want, planned out her outfit, knew what props she wanted, was willing to take risks, was open to ideas, and smiled from ear to ear! The pictures speak for themselves, a great time was had during this shoot!

THE AGUECIS

Such A Wonderful Family!
When I find myself drawn to certain pictures, I often direct the picture to see what about it is grabbing my attention, the focal point, lighting, fashion, overall composition etc. One of the most common things I find with group shots that I am drawn to, is how close everyone is to one another. The Aguecis naturally had this closeness and it made for wonderful family photos!

I have been lucky enough to do the Dorsetts' family photos a couple of times now. What I love about them is how much fun they have during their shoots. You can even ask them to sit in a tub in a field and without hesitation, they jump in :)

THE McCLURES

It didn't seem to matter what I did, I couldn't crack this little guys blue steel. However, Eric made him smile by tickling his nose with a piece of long grass right before the shots!

THE BONDS

Sibling Dynamics!
While taking pictures is the main focus of photography, obviously, I enjoy seeing how families tic and get along. The playful banter that took place between the Bond siblings made me laugh, as it reminded me of my siblings. In a family of three, there always seems to be a power pair and then a loan wolf. One thing that was evident, and that was how much love they all had for each other.

A bright smile to go along with a bright future
I can't even believe it's been three years since I first photographed Maddie and her family. Three years in the blink of an eye and she is graduating from high school and going off to University! Covid-19 grad cancellations couldn't keep the Bower's from celebrating the awesome high school career that Maddie had. Congratulations Maddie!!

THE BRANCH FLOWERS

A fun family shoot at the Guelph Arboretum

One of the greatest challenges of family photography is getting everyone to smile. I had a fun time making myself sound foolish in order to chase a grin from one of these darling children. On the other hand one of the greatest parts of taking photographs is when someone naturally connects with the camera, this family had it all.

Another beautiful backyard family photo session
This family photo session was a lot of fun, I especially loved working with Maddie! This photo of her eye is one of my all time favourite photos. The lighting in the shot was created with a flash in front of her, while the setting sun provided her with the golden lighting from behind.

THE KARAGANS

Fun times playing with my new lighting system
I absolutely love the Karagan family! I first met Julia when I was a teacher volunteer in her grade 5 class. I knew from the moment I met her that she was an incredible human being. Years later, my wife and I coached Katherine on our club volleyball team. That experience brought us closer with their amazing parents! Most recently, Julia was one of my outstanding leaders at Huddle Up Athletic Leadership Camp. I just can't seem to get enough of this family. They were kind enough to come over and sit for me while I played around with my new lighting set up.

THE WHITINGS

A photoshoot that guided itself
This was one of my earliest photoshoots and it was a very good lesson in just how fast you have to be when taking pictures of young kids. Josh barely stayed in one place long enough for a picture, let alone trying to get him to sit still. Regardless, this still goes down for one of my absolute favourite photoshoots as it was so free and fun (as you can see in the fountain fun)!

THE MILNES

The Distillery District
This family photoshoot is one that helped to give me confidence in what I was doing. I had spend years learning and playing around with a camera, constantly taking pictures of my friends and family. I quickly learned that it felt completely different taking on the role of a photographer, instead of just someone taking pictures. The first picture in the gallery is one of my all time favourites. While he initially did not want to have his picture taken, I thought he looked pretty tough, mean mugging, sitting on top of an old rusty truck.
